The copper plate has been engraved on live during the performances of ‘LA MUDA’.
One of the most complex scenes for me on stage, both artistically and logistically. Is in this moment, when the audience can see the copper plate being engraved live, in detail. Meanwhile, I'm telling them a tale. Each day, the plate changes a bit, more scratched, more worked, more soaked with all this personal and artistic process. The result is technically imperfect: I barely have any light, many eyes are watching while I'm speaking and scratching the copper, and nervousness and emotion are inevitable. But I find it incredibly beautiful that it's like this: imperfect.
And so symbolic that the mouth of this silent woman has barely been engraved on the plate…
