On June 18th 2023 we woke up on the Reykjanes peninsula, at the foot of the Fagradalsfjall volcano. We were alone, and the silence was immense. In front of us was an expanse of dry and solid lava, a collection of cracks and folds that felt like warm skin, firm yet fragile and full of wounds and holes.
We started thinking how it would be an Alba’s piece painted by Marina, a Marina’s painting molded by Alba.
'Ísland' is our first ceramic crack, a solid and delicate skin, made in the Empordà, thought in Iceland. A self-portrait of the two of us.
